China Facts: 8.5 bn people in the World

In 2030 there will be 8.5 bn people in the World and at that time the population of Asia will be around seven times the number of Europe. In 2050 only 6% of the population will be Europeans; 1/3 of which will be over 65 years old. In 1900 Europe accounted for 25% of the World's population. It is estimated that China in 2030 will account for 40% of the global BNP, thus Asia will have a growing commercial and political importance for Denmark. The economic center of gravity is certainly moving towards the east*).
