China Facts: Anomymity that has helped food-fraud to thrive

China fact, did you know that food fraud costs the global food industry some $40 billion each year. China takes it serious and strengthened its food safety las in 2015 in response to the spate of scandals like e.g. synthetic eggs to fake shrimp that still sizzle in a wok. Counterfeiters and food tamperers face tougher penalties, including jail sentences. By using e.g. Blockchain technology you record the identity of those who input data into the chain, thus the technology removes the anomymity that has helped food-fraud to thrive*).
