China Facts: Non-state companies becoming more linked to the Party



For much of the past three decades, private Chinese firms have flourished. Today they account for about 80% of industrial output, 90% of exports and nearly all new jobs created. Lately a new trend seems to emerge as 22 listed non-state firms have sold large stakes to SOE investors apparently with the aim to put more Party members in high positions. *)
