China Facts: China's FDI in Europe

In 2016 Chinese investment in the European Union jumped to nearly EUR36m up from EUR20m in 2015. In 2017 inwards investment dropped to EUR30m reflecting a global slow-down in China's FDI. In Germany the focus is on high-tech firms related to China's CM2025 strategy to make China more industrially and technologically self-sufficient.*)
